Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the occurrence of peeling and creasing of the photosensitive layer and enable large-volume printing by forming a size layer by the sizing agent containing emulsion type vinyl-base resin and the specific water-soluble polyvinyl amide derivative.
CONSTITUTION: In the electrophotograhic paper for offset printing original plate provided with the photosensitive layer by way of the size layer on the surface of a substrate having a conductive layer on its back, the sizing agent forming the size layer is let to contain emulsion type vinyl-base resin and the polyvinyl amide derivative of about 100W1,000 in the degree of polymerization in which the structure units shown by general formulas A, B, C and D are arrayed in linear form at molar ratios p:q:r:s in ABCD order where p, q, r, s are such numbers as to become q/(p+q)=0.1W1.0, r/(p+q+r+s)=0.001W0.1, s/r=0W5. These make it possible to prevent the infeasibility of a large amount of printing owing to the occurrence of peeling and creasing of the photosensitive layer and deposition of the peeled photosensitive layer on ink rollers.
