Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable replacement of an expensive alnico magnet by an inexpensive and abundant ferrite magnet by a method wherein a magnetic circuit is constituted by fitting a magnet-rectifying material intermediately between adjacent magnetic pole pieces provided on the ferrite magnet.
CONSTITUTION: The magnetic circuit is constituted by providing magnetic pole pieces 2 of high-permeable soft magnetic substance on the opposed surfaces of four ferrite magnets 1 whereon two poles N and S are arranged in opposition, by fitting yokes 3 forming return magnetic routes on the other surfaces of the magnets 1 and by fitting a magnet-rectifying material 4 intermediately between the adjacent magnet pole pieces 2. The result of examination of the short-circuit of a magnetic flux, the compensation temperature of a gap flux and others makes it clear that the device having the magnet-rectifying material 4 fitted intermediately between the adjacent magnetic pole pieces 2 is excellent in the characteristics thereof and that the magnet using the magnetic circuit for which the ferrite magnets are used in place of the alnico magnet is fully fit for employment as a damping magnet.
