Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress cross color disturbance by outputting a luminance signal from the image transmission side of a transmission system for video signals via a filter circuit that suppresses a part on a two-dimensional frequency face near the position where a subcarrier signal resides. CONSTITUTION:A luminance signal component in an image pickup output signal from an image pickup device is supplied to signal input terminal 20. From output terminal 23d of the 1st signal mixer 23, the subtraction output signal of the luminance signal component is outputted from output terminal 24d of the 2nd signal mixer 24, the addition signal component is sent out. The 3rd signal mixer 29 supplies the full-addition signal component of supplied signals to the 4th mixer 31 as an aperture-corrected luminance signal and from signal output terminal 34, the subtraction output signal is sent out. The composite color video signal, obtained by mixing the above-mentioned luminance signal with a color signal, has a luminance component, near the part where a subcarrier signal possibly causing cross color disturbance resides, suppressed, so that even when the luminance signal and color signal are separated at the reception side, no cross color disturbance will occur.
