Abstract

PURPOSE: To mechanize stocking and delivering works of books to save labors and to prevent wear by constituting a book stocking and delivering apparatus such that books are housed in a normalized case which is kept in an upstanding position thereof whereas it is manipulated in a thrown down position when it is to be stocked and delivered.
CONSTITUTION: A book receiving case 1 is made of a material such as a plastics material and has provided on a side face thereof a magnetic card or the like which can be read by a machine. A bookshelf 5 of which books are to be kept includes rollers 6 on which a drawer device having a claw 7 provided on a chain 8 is provided. A roller conveyor 12 is provided in front of the bookshelf 5 and is inclined in the carrying out direction. A book receiving case 1 picked up is thrown down by a stopper arm 13 and is carried out by the conveyor 12. Thus, since books are housed in a normalized case, they can be easily manipulated, and the stocking and delivering works can be done rapidly due to the mechanization thereof.
