Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform a test as the casing remains placed at the horizontal position, by closely pressing the pressure cover vertically provided on the lower casing, against the sheet surface by utilizing a necessary hole provided on the upper casing.
CONSTITUTION: After the pressure covers 3, 4 have been mounted in the lower casing which is horizontally supported, length of the buckle 16 is adjusted by installing the turnbuckle 16 and the wedge step 17 to the covers 3, 4, and inserting the moving wedge 18 into the step 17. Subsequently, after the upper casing has been assembled, when the adapter 19 is installed to the chamber 2 by utilizing the pressure gauge fitting hole, tec. of the casing 2, and the bolt 21 is screwed in, the wedge 18 lowers, the covers 4, 5 are closely pressed against the sheet surface of the casing 2, and a watertight chamber is formed. The cover forming other watertight chamber is also pressed closely against the sheet surface of the casing in the same way, and the test preparation and the following hydraulic test are executed as the casing remains horizontal. The incidental work, etc. are remarkably reduced comparing with the case in which the casing is made vertical or horizontal.
