Abstract

PURPOSE:To accomplish detection of a projected image of a large object in the actual size by forming matrices of solar batteries on one substrate as separated like islands. CONSTITUTION:Parallel beams are irradiated on a test object placed on a photosensor panel through a transparent plate. This produces an electromotive force only on the islands of the semiconductor layer striken in the zones by light but none on those in the zones from which light is intercepted by the object. An electrical signal is obtained from information about the parts shaped and those light-affected according to the combination of terminals drawn from line-shaped electrode layers 2 and 5 arranged side by side.
