Abstract
PURPOSE:To cool the heat generated when materials such as liquid and solids are treated with an agitator to an extremely low temperature efficiently with a high cooling capacity without deteriorating the quality of the materials by supplying dry ice to the inside of the agitator. CONSTITUTION:Mixed paste of pigments and liquidlike varnish which are the materials to be treated is supplied from a piping 5 by a pump 4 into a dispersing machine consistated by a hollow body 8 having a revolving shaft 1 provided with plural discs 2. The shaft 1 is revolved to perform dispersion of the pigments by the action of dispersing media such as glass beads, steel beands, alumina beads or natural stone. Next, the paste and the dispersing media are separated by a separator 6 and only the paste is supplied into a hopper 7. At this time, dry ice is supplied into the hollow body 8 through dry ice supply ports 9, 10, 11 and is allowed to evaporate in CO2, whereby the materials to be treated are cooled with good efficiency down to about -80 deg.C without causing any deterioration of quality such as oxidation.
