Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a captioned flooring having a complex complicated pattern risible through a transparent layer thereof and which is excellent in a resistance to abrasion by a method wherein colored coarse grains having different granular sizes are fed by separate feeders to form laid layers and the laid layers are heated and pressed.
CONSTITUTION: Transparent coarse grains and colored coarse grains (preferably having granular sizes of 16W42 mesh) are fed into a coarse grains feeder 4 having a hopper 2 and a metering roll 3 while transparent coarse grains and colored coarse grains having bigger sizes (preferably 7W9 mesh) are fed into a similar feeder 8. These grains are fed onto a vibrating inclined plate 5 under a desired mixing ratio to form laid layers 9 having a constant thickness. The laid layers 9 are bonded preliminarily by heating in a heater 10 and pressing in pressurized rolls 11, 12. Further, the layers are heated in the second heater 13, thereafter, are adhered by heat and pressure in a heating drum 14 and a pressing roll 15.
EFFECT: Different patterns may be formed on front and back sides thereof respectively.
