Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate and cheap device, by switching and controlling the receiving mode without a reed filter. CONSTITUTION:The control channel signal (55.125kHz), the subchannel signal, and the main sound signal are separated from the sound multiple signal. The control signal is detected from the control channel signal in 13, and the detection output is applied to phase lock loop (PLL) type detecting circuit 14. Since this detecting circuit 14 is set to the stereo broadcast control signal or different broadcast control signal frequency, the control signal for one of them is detected. On the other hand, the detection output of the conrol signal is smoothed in 15 and is applied to switching circuit 16 to detect an electric field intensity. The subsound channel signal is detected and smoothed in 7 and is applied to switching circuit 7 to detect presence or absence of multiple broadcast, and the control signal above and the detection output for multiple broadcast are applied to mode switching circuit 17; and when a weak electric field is detected, matrix circuit 16 is controlled to the monaural mode.
