Abstract

PURPOSE: Titled composition which provides molded products having excellent strength, rigidity and dimensional stability, which does not abrade molding machines and which is free from sanitary problems, containing thermosetting resin as a principal component and glass fiber and gypsum fiber as reinforcing components.
CONSTITUTION: A thermosetting resin composition containing (A) 25W45wt% of a thermosetting resin, (B) 10W40wt% of glass fiber and (C)10W40wt% of gypsum fiber. A preferable example of (B) is glass fiber having a fiber length of 1W12mm and a fiber diameter of 3W15μ. A preferable example of (C) is gypsum fiber having a fiber length of 20W400μ and a fiber diameter of 0.5W20μ. The most suitable composition of the thermosetting resin composition is one in which the components (B) and (C) constitute 55W65% of the total resin composition and the weight ratio of (B) to (C) is 1:1W1:2.
