Abstract
PURPOSE: To minimize the distortion of the output waveform in accordance with the frequency of the vibration on the ground surface, by introducing a conception of the virtual seismometer in which a selection and alteration is possible for both the resonance frequency and the damping coefficient to an optional value occasionally.
CONSTITUTION: The seismometer system comprises the real seismometer 1, n- multiplier 2, virtual seismometer 3, adder 4 and others. The seismometer 1 has the frequency characteristics of the resonance frequency ω1 and the damping coefficient h1 each plus the dampling characteristics. Thus the output waveform is delivered in the form of the electric signal based on the motion equation shown by (I). The virtual seismometer 3 just gives an input to e.g. the microcomputer or the like, can be set to an optional value in an extremely easy way and solves the motion euation shown by (II) to deliver the displacement output, the velocity output and the acceleration output each.
