Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a photosensitive composition of large γ value and small photographic fog densities of the nonimage part by compounding aliphatic or alicyclic amine in the photosensitive composition consisting in combining dyes which color under acidic conditions and an organic halogen compound which produces free groups when irradiated with light.
CONSTITUTION: About 1W3pts. an oarganic halogen compound which generates free groups when irradiated with light (carbon tetrabromide, trichloroacetamide, etc.) (a), about 1W5pts. dyes which are intrinsically colorless and color when contacted with acidic materials [for example, 3,3-bis-(4'-dimethylaminophenyl)-6- dimethylaminophthalide] (b), about 0.5W3pts. an aromatic amine or conjugate-base nitrogen-contg. heterocyclic compound (diphenylamine, carbazole, etc.) (c), about 5W8pts. a binder (for example, polystryrene) (d), and about 0.02W0.7pts. aliphatic or alicyclic amine (didodecyl amine, piperidine, etc.) (e) are dissolved in a 100pts. organic solvent.
