Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent image reception, etc., over a specific channel due to malfunction and carelessness, by making it possible to receive an image over the specific channel after letting viewers understand and confirm the charged specific channel through image reception over a procedure channel.
CONSTITUTION: From one center to television receivers provided to respective terminal units, various television programs are transmitted through wire. When a viewer selects one of changed programs, the charged program can not be received immediately and display for reconfirmation is provided. Namely, communication control circuit 42 in main box 33 of the terminal unit receives signal (a), showing the selection of the charged program, from operation detecting circuit 50 in control box 34. Then, communication control circuit 42 puts tuning voltage generator 54 and channel converter 38 into operation to select the procedure channel. Consequently, the confirmation display of "charged" is made over the procedure channel and the viewer can see images over the selected channel by following the fixed operation procedure with answer switch 47.
