Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent troubles like as the triple biting, etc., by detecting the irregularity of the interstand traveling speed of the material depending on the looper installed between the stands, and by adjusting the rotational frequency of the roll of each stand so as to correct the above detected irregularity, at rolling for the successive material. CONSTITUTION:At the continuous hot rolling mill, the behavior of the loopers 11, 12,...15, respectively installed between the adjoining stands of the stand group 1, 2,...6, is placed under the particular watch; hereby, the irregularity of the speed of the material 7 between above stated adjoining stands is detected. Then, at rolling the successive material 7, the roll's rotational frequency of adjoining stands on the upstream side and/or downstream side of each of loopers 11, 12,...15, is changed and adjusted. As a result, the material 7 is prevented from the triple biting and the rupture trouble due to the excessive tension of the material, and the passability of the sheet is improved.
