Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the sticking of molten metal at the nozzle tip and the partial overheating of the nozzle by interposing a heat insulating nozzle between the nozzle tips and forming this heat insulating ring by the mica-glass-base material dispersed with the specific amount of mica. CONSTITUTION:A heat-insulating ring 5 is provided between a sprue bushing 4 which is built in dies 6 and has a lead-in port 3 for molten metal and the tip of a nozzle 2 injecting the molten metal into the dies 6 from an injection pump. This heat insulating ring is formed by the mica-glass-base material dispersed with 30-80wt% fine mica. Because of this, the heat radiation from the nozzle tip to the sprue bushing 4 becomes extremely less, burners 9, 10 of smalller sizes may be used and the sticking of the molten metal at the nozzle tip is prevented.
