Abstract
PURPOSE: To continue a stable operation by a method wherein a material to be annealed is degreased with a chlorine-based organic solvent, the solvent is removed by being dried, the material is annealed in a bright-annealing furnace to prevent abnormal powder from producing in and depositing on the furnace.
CONSTITUTION: Stainless steel (a material to be annealed) 1 is degreased by passing through a degreasing tank 3 containing a chlorine-based organic solvent (e.g. 1-1-1 trichloroethane) 2 to be used for degreasing. The degreased stainless steel 1 is removed from solvent 2 deposited on the steel by passing through a drier 2 so that it is forced to dry, then is sent into an accumulator (bright-annealing furnace) 4 and is annealed. Removing the solvent 2 deposited on the annealing material prevents the annealing furnace, especially at the low temperaure section below 300°C from being deposited with abnormal powder product mainly consisting of NH4Cl.
