CONSTITUTION:Only a sound signal is recorded on single-slanting-line track T12, on tape 14, and a sound signal and cue signal on double-slanting-line track T10. When contacts of recording-reproducing change-over switches 42a-42d are set to (a), sound signal Sv2 from microphone 40 is recorded via head 12, sound signal Sv3 and cue signal Sc from microphone 40 via head 10. Next, when contacts of switches 42a-42d are placed at side (b), heads 10 and 12 detect sound signals on tracks T10 and T12 and input them to amplifier 321. In this case, tracks T10 and T12 are both used for sound reproduction, and consequently while the S/N ratio is excellent, the attenuation of sound signals can be reduced. Even in this state, the cue signal can be retrieved.
