Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the separation effect of sheet by a method wherein the peripheral speed of a roller is made different from that of other rollers among a plural number of separation rollers.
CONSTITUTION: When a manuscript detector 9 detects the tip of a copy, a signal is transmitted to a solenoid system 27 to excite it. Thereby, the link between a stopper 24 and a stopper click 23 is released to connect a driving shaft 16 with a pulley 20 and not only roller elements 11 and 13, but also a roller element 12 turns counterclock-wise. Since the difference from diameters of pulleys 18, 19, the roller element 12 turns with a faster peripheral speed in comparison with other rollers 11, 13.
