Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure a sharp peak for the correlation curve and thus increasing the image resolution, by using the deconvolution process for measurement of the distance up to a subject by the two units of cameras.
CONSTITUTION: The subject 10 located at the position distant away from the lower and upper cameras 1 and 2 by the distances D and D' is located nearly in front of the camera 1. The cameras 1 and 2 are distributed with the up-down distance L secured. Owing to the difference of height between the two cameras, the shift τ adversely proportional to the distance D up to the subject 10 is caused between the two picture images. Thus the picture data of f2(x) and f1(X) are obtained from the upper and lower cameras 2 and 1, and then F2(ω) and F1(ω) are obtained by making said data pass through the Fourier conversion parts 3 and 4. Then the picture data given from the camera 2 is deconvoluted by the picture data from the camera 1 to obtain the shift between both picture images at the Fourier region. Thus G(ω) is obtained to receive an adverse conversion to obtain the curve. Thus the distance D can be obtained.
