Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a shaft of aligned axial center and high accuracy by putting a blank material having been roughed into dies disposed on the same axis, and performing center hole working simultaneously with forming of outside diameters.
CONSTITUTION: Dies having die holes for forming (for example, those divided to 3 pieces) 13 are disposed in series on the same axis. A punch 14' for center hole and a knockout 14 are provided on the bottom end side. A punch 10 for center hole connecting a punch 9 for drawing to a punch holder 12 by way of springs 11 and projecting from the holder is provided on the top end side. A blank material 7 having been roughed is inserted into the die 13. The punch holder 12 is lowered and the blank material 7 is pushed into the die 13 by way of the springs 11 by the drawing punch 9, whereby splines are formed. Further, the stroke is increased to pierce a punch hole to the top end face with the punch 10 for center hole. The punch hole on the under side is formed with the punch 14' for center hole by the pressing force from above. Thereby, the shaft of high accuracy is obtained with good efficiency.
