Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable an emulsified fuel oil to be obtd. at low cost, by providing a mechanism which can control the amount of water according to a signal obtd. from a flowmeter when a fuel oil is passed through the flowmeter and then emulsified in a mixer to produce the emulsified fuel oil.
CONSTITUTION: Fuel oil from an oil tank T is supplied through a pulse transmitting type flowmeter 2 to a mixer 11 for emulsification. The fuel oil is mixed with water from a water-supply pipe 12' to emulsify the fuel oil. Then the fuel oil is injected through a burner 6 into a furnace. In the above operation, a control panel 17 received pulse transmitted from the flowmeter 2, gives a signal controlled by a timer 18 at a specified pulse count to an electromagnetic valve 13 which is opened and closed so as to inject water in proportion to the flow rate of the oil. The mixing ratio of the oil to water can easily be controlled by the timer 18, and can be set at a required value.
