Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a desalting apparatus limited in the secondary wastes with a high efficiency by operating series connected groups of the first filter and the first desalting device and the second filter and the second desalting device as connected in parallel through switching of valves.
CONSTITUTION: A desalting apparatus for cleaning radioactive liquid wastes or the like is composed of series connected groups of the first filter 1 and a desalting device 3 and the second filter 2 and the second desalting as connected in parallel. When an ion exchange resin is consumed in the first desalting device through switching of valves 5W14, operation continues with the second desalting device 4 to repeat the same operation mode while exchange or reproduction thereof is performed. This improve the utilization rate of the ion exchange resin thereby reducing amount of ion exchange resin as the secondary wastes.
