Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the formation of any ghost and the production of linear undevelopable parts caused by toner lumps and obtain always good images by disposing a magnetic member in opposition to the magnetic pole fixed to a developing roller.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic member 13 is provided away in the axial direction of a sleeve 10 on the opposite side of the developing part A of a fixed magnetic roller 11. The residual toner on the sleeve 10 after ending of development becomes sleeve ghosts without existing in a negative image shape and is further conveyed by the sleeve, reaching the magnetic member 13. This magnetic member 13 is mounted in the position opposing to the magnetic pole S2 in the developing roller and since a magnetic field exists between the magnetic member 13 and the developing roller 9 and the magnetic member 13 is provided in extreme proximity, the magnetic field is so strong that the residual toner passing the part B ears and may easily be removed.
