Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a return spring and permit a solenoid apparatus to be more compact by attaching permanent magnets to both ends of an output rod and operating it by means of a current change-over mechanism provided between a coil and a power source. CONSTITUTION:An output rod 6 of a nonmagnetic material is reciprocatably inserted into the central hole of a yoke 1, which is provided with a flange 7 at one end and whose other end is fitted and fixed with a ring member 8, to secure the yoke 1 and a bobbin 2 in one body. Disk-shaped permanent magnets 10 and 11 are attached to both ends of the output rod 6. When the magnet 10 is attracted to the flange 7 through an inclusion 9, the magnet 11 is separated from an inclusion 9' at a proper distance. Contrarily, when the magnet 11 is attracted to the ring member 8 through the inclusion 9', the magnet 10 is separated from the inclusion 9 at a proper distance. Said procedure permits the need for a return spring to be eliminated and the apparatus to be more compact.
