Abstract

PURPOSE: To conserve fuel for automobile by a method wherein an electric motor for driving is attached to a transmission and the electric motor is driven by an excessed electrical power generated while driving.
CONSTITUTION: Automobile has generated an electrical power by a generator thereof while driving and has charged it into a battery. However, when a voltage has attained to a rated voltage, the generator has been rendered inoperative and further generation of the electricity has not been effected any more. Therefore, it is preferable to prepare a battery having a capacity powerful enough to be charged further by utilizing said generator while an electric motor 1 attached to a transmission for driving is driven by the electricity thus obtained in order to drive the car. In this case, the car is driven by an engine as in the case of the conventional manner at starting because a large torque is necessary therefor, while the car is driven with the electricity by switching from the engine drive into the electric motor 1 drive when the car is brought into a constant speed driving condition.
