Abstract
PURPOSE: To securely operate an opening and closing of a valve by a method wherein a resistance groove is formed on a valve seat surface or a sealing surface of a valve disk, a necessary pressure is produced on the back side of the valve disk, and pressure increase thereof can be easily regulated.
CONSTITUTION: When a water level rises, a float 20 is floated up and a sealing surface 22 touches a valve seat 18 to cause a valve hole 16 to be blocked. When the valve hole 16 is blocked, the pressure on the back side of a valve seat 13 is raised, which the pressure between a valve seat 7 and the valve disk 13 drops due to a flow causing the valve disk 13 to be attracted to the valve seat 7 to touch thereon and outlow passages 12, 11 to be blocked. In this case, a resistance groove 25 is formed around the opening of an inflow passage 9 in the valve seat 7 in such a manner as being communicated with the outflow hole 12, whereby part of the water flows into the back side of the valve disk along the valve surface between the outflow passages and the pressure can be easily produced, and accordingly, the opening and closing operations of the valve can be securely carried out.
