Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a screen printing plate with superior hardness, friction resistance and opening ratio in favorable environment by forming a photosensitive film contg. a specified binder, resin, etc. on a support, exposing the film, removing the nonexposed part, and carrying out hardening treatment. CONSTITUTION:On a support for a screen printing plate a photosensitive film is formed contg. a hardenable resinous binder such as polyvinyl acetate, a diazonium compound, epoxy resin and a latent hardening agent such as phenylenediamine for epoxy resin. The film is then exposed through a film with a predetermined pattern, and after removing the nonexposed part by washing with water or a suitable solvent, the film is dried and hardned by heat treatment to obtain a printing plate with increased chemical and water resistances as well as hardness and friction resistance and enhanced bonding strength to a screen gauze. Since the outlines of the pattern form a fine hard film, a textile printing having sharp edges or sharp- edge printing can be performed.
