Abstract

PURPOSE: To securely detect conveyance of the last cut sheet original irrespective of length of the original, and at the time of its conveyance to a given distance, by providing means for detecting its conveyance in response to its movement.
CONSTITUTION: Sheet original Os on tray 55 is conveyed one by one from the uppermost sheet with separating and feeding rollers 56, 57. When the last sheet original is sent, disc 78 is rotated with this sheet, light from lamp 79 falls on photodetector 80 through hole 77. Pulse signals are produced from photodetector 80, and counted with a counter, and on counting up to a given number, the counter decides conveyance of the last sheet original, and stops feeding of transfer paper, thus permitting conveyance of the last sheet original to be securely detected irrespective of length of its length and at the time of its conveyance to a given distance.
