PURPOSE:To obtain a detection circuit of low cost, by comparing the phase of a 1H synchronizing fH signal generated by the VCO circuit in the AFC circuit, and a horizontal synchronizing signal whose skew has been compensated, used as a synchronizing signal of the VCO circuit. CONSTITUTION:An FM signal of the luminance signal system, which has been output through the band pass filter 13 is input to the FM demodulator 14 after the skew has been compensated, and the demodulated luminance signal is made to pass through the horizontal synchronizing separator circuit 15, and a horizontal synchronizing signal is obtained.
