Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a necessary strength of a stopper for a vehicle movable roof and simplify the constitution of the fixing means by providing the guide rail with an engaging portion for stopper brackets.
CONSTITUTION: A notch 15 is provided on a guide rail 6 for sliding a lid 3. A lower bracket 10 connected with an upper bracket 9 attached to the lid 3 is provided with a plate spring 12 moving through a shoe sliding groove 13 in the guide rail 6 together with a base 11 to be fitted into the notch 15. When the lid 3 is opened, a link system causes the lid 3 to lower. Consequently, the base 11 of the lower bracket 10 is disengaged from the notch 15 and forced into the sliding groove 13. When the lid 3 is raised for ventilation, the lower bracket 10, which remains being engaged with the notch 15, works as a stopper.
