Abstract

PURPOSE: To warm up an engine and a room of a car in a short time by arranging a heat pipe exposed on one end to a cooling water passage and a room-heater and on another end to exhaust gas in the car.
CONSTITUTION: A heat pipe 13 enclosing operation liquid 15 is inserted into an exhaust mainfold 12 of an engine 11 on one end for constructing an evaporation part 21. It is also arranged in a cooling water passage 22 of the engine 11 and a heat- exchanging part 23 of a room-heater on another end for forming the first and the second condensation part 18 and 25. The heat received by the evaporation part 21 is radiated in these condensing parts 18 and 25. Between the evaporation part 21 and the first condensation part 18, an operation check 16 is arranged to be shifted upward or downward by a thermal sensing part 14 reacting to the temperature of cooling water. As the temperature of the engine 11 rises, the check 16 is raised, and regulates the flow of evaporation gas of the operation liquid 15.
