Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce deviation in a coating thickness and to form an uniform coating layer, by a method wherein, after a thermoplastic resin film is coated with thermoplastic or thermosetting resin containing metal particles, the work is stretched in a lateral direction or in biaxial directions at the same time.
CONSTITUTION: A single surface or both surfaces of an unstretched or a stretched thermoplastic resin film are coated wih thermoplastic or thermosetting resin containing metal particles, and so coated film is then stretched in a lateral direction or in biaxial directions at the same time to produce a metal-coated, stretched film. Auminum powder having an average particle diameter of below 50μ is most suitable for the metal particle. A stretching ratio obtainable after resin-coating is preferably 3-fold or more, especially preferably 6-fold or more. A preferable stretching method is a tenter method in the case of the lateral direction and a tenter method or a tubular method in the case of the biaxial directions. Polyethylene terephthalate is enumerated as a most suitable thermoplastic resin film.
