Abstract
PURPOSE: To develop and transfer magnetic latent images then pressure-fixing the same and obtain good images by specifying the kinds and compounding amounts of the resin of the binder and magnetic powder constituting the toners.
CONSTITUTION: The resin composed of 50W100pts.wt. polyethylene wax of molecular weights 2,000W3,000 and ≤50pts.wt. and 10W14wt% ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer in molar fraction of vinyl acetate is used for the binder forming the magnetic toners. The mixture composed of 20W40% binder and 60W80% magnetic powder such as Fe3O4 of ≤200 Oe in coercive force is kneaded and ground, thence those of average 10W25μ in grain size are classified. This yields the pressure-fixing magnetic toners having proper resistance value.
