Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect the device abnormality of recording paper by providing the 1st contactor provided to a paper retaining plate by way of an insulator, the 2nd contactor provided in the specified position in correspondence to this and an alarm means connected to this and emitting an alarm when the end part of the first contactor contacts the drum.
CONSTITUTION: The 1st contactor 7 is insulated from a paper retaining plate 6 by an insulator 6a. The contactor 7 has contact end parts 7a, 7b on the front and back of the paper retaining plate 6 by penetrating through the insulator 6a. Recording paper 2 is wound on a drum 1 and the paper retaining plate 6 makes pressure contact with the drum 1. When the mounting of the recording paper 2 is abnormal, one or both contact end parts 7b of the 1st contactors 7, 7' directly contact the drum 1 and become conducting. When the drum 1 makes one turn and the contact end parts 7a of the 1st contact terminals contact the 2nd contactor 8, an alarm device 9 emits an alarm. When the recording paper 2 interposed between the contactor 7 and the drum 1, no alarm is emitted. Hence, the mounting abnormality of the recording paper may be detected prior to recording.
