Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the wetting of recording paper surer than before by providing a scraper to a fixing roller which contacts the side opposite from the surface to be recorded and scraping off the offset-preventing liquid. CONSTITUTION:Recording paper 5 which has been formed with toner images 4 on the surface is fed into between a heating roller 1 and a pressure roller 2, whereby fixing is done. At this time, preventing liquid 7 is coated in order to prevent the so-called offset phenomenon that toner powder deposits on the roller 1. The transfer of the preventing liquid 7 coated on the roller 1 to the roller 2 is unavoidable and this wets the recording paper 5. To prevent this, a cleaning means 11 consisting of a rubber blade 12 is provided. The edge part of the blade 12 is press- contacted with the surface of the roller 2 over nearly its entire length, by which the preventing liquid 7 is scraped down and is returned into a case 8. Thereby, the defects in the use of conventional felt may be eliminated and the wetting of the paper may be surely prevented.
