Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the photoreceptor exchangeable always surely and at a fixed amount with relatively simple mechanism by storing the used number of the segments of the photoreceptor and controlling the number of revolutions of a winding roll member in an electrophotographic apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A web-form photoreceptor 1 becomes used segment at the portion wound on a drum body 2 and as it is wound by a roll 3, the next segment from a feed roll 4, is pulled onto the body 2 thus the used segment is exchanged. A microcomputer resets the counter in a memory R/W.M since the photoreceptor 1 is set until the first segment is used, to turn ON a motor 14 and take in the signal from a switch 6, thereby turning ON a clutch 10 to revolve the roll 3. When the winding of nearly a fixed amount is finished, it turns OFF the clutch 10 to turn OFF the motor 14.
