Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a motor having a protecting device without increasing the number of parts by connecting a contact opening when a current value reaches a predetermined value and a contact opening when a temperature reaches a predetermined value between a feeding line and a main winding. CONSTITUTION:In case of low voltage operation, main windings 5, 6 and auxiliary winding 7 are connected in parallel with feeding lines 1, 2, and an automatic opening switch 10 opening when a current reaches a predetermined value is provided between the main windings 5, 6 and a power source. In case of high voltage operation, the main winding 6 is connected in series with the main winding 5. A temperature relay 4 opening when a temperature reaches a predetermined value is inserted in series with a series circuit. The switch 10 is opened when the current value reaches higher than predetermined value, and when the temperature reaches higher than a predetermined value, the relay 4 is opened.
