Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a catalyst maintaining activity and strength for a long period as a catalyst for a dehydrogenation reaction by forming α-Al2O3 into a structure having a flow passage partitioned from a fluid inlet to a fluid outlet by a thin wall and supporting a catalyst metal thereon.
CONSTITUTION: A structure of a catalyst used in dehydrogenating a monoolefin to a conjugated diene is prepared by using α-Al2O3 as a substrate material so as to have many fluid flow passages partitioned by a thin wall and communicated to a direction from a fluid inlet to a fluid outlet side. Then, onto this structure, a compound of a catalyst metal element such as iron or chromium is supported. Thereby, because the activity and the strength of this catalyst is not lowered due to an active component and a substrate material, this catalyst has not pressure drop and enhanced activity as well as controls a side reaction.
