Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove excessive paint mist floating in the circular coating booth by a method in which the paint mist is adsorbed on a filter provided on the peripheral wall of the circular coating booth for electrostatic coating by sucking up air present in a space provided circumferentially in the peripheral wall.
CONSTITUTION: Air present in the space 3 provided circumferentially in the peripheral wall 2 of the circular coating booth 1 for electrostatic coating is sucked up by means of a suction fan 4 provided in a suction chamber 18. Then, the air and paint mist present in the circular coating booth 1 are passed through a filter 5 provided on the peripheral wall 2 between the space 3 and the circular coating booth 1, whereupon excessive paint mist is adsorbed on the filter 5. Thus, the excessive paint mist floating in the circular coating booth 1 can removed and therefore, the electrostatic coating can be smoothly performed.
