Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable developing and nondeveloping operations to be easily performed and enable a multiplicity of developing devices to be installed according to need by providing a moving roller which guides and moves a beltlike photoreceptor with respect to position-fixed developing devices.
CONSTITUTION: A moving roller 7 is freely rotatively supported to a link 9 and is so moved as to draw a locus of ellipse by a moving device 10. When it is moved to the position A, a photoreceptor 5 moves along staright lines A1, A2 and is developed by contacting a developing device 1. When the roller is moved to the position B, the photoreceptor 5 moves along straight lines B1, B2 and receives the developing action by a developing device 2. Similarly, in the position C, it receives only the developing action by a developing device 3. Color copying may be performed by applying developments of respectively adaptive separating colors with respect to the developing devices 1, 2, 3.
