Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure an assured transmission for the facsimile device which carries out a compression coding for the original picture information produced by scanning the transmission original and then stores the information in the memory part, by giving a scanning again to the area where the picture information exceeds the capacity of the memory part. CONSTITUTION:The memory part 3 has the storage capacity less than the average compression of the original picture information. The original is read by the scanning part 1 and then given to the compression coder 2 to be converted into the compression information data obtained by eliminating the redundancy out of the original picture information. This converted information data is then stored in the memory part 3. In this case, the output is produced to the overflow detector 6 in case the picture information data to be stored remains. The detector 6 gives the rereading request to the scan control part 4 and at the same time displays so at the overflow display part 5. And the control part 4 gives the line density switch command to the part 1 to reduce the reading density of the secondary scanning direction. Thus an assured transmission is secured by giving a scanning again to the picture information at the area where the picture information exceeds the capacity of the memory 3.
