Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure an automatic control for the light sensitivity of the photoconductor and thus keep a constant level at all times for the output signal voltage, by applying the voltage to the electrode corresponding to the current flowing between potential of the outside electrode and the earth. CONSTITUTION:When the light 21 enters the photoconductor 18, the electron and the positive hole pairs are produced. The electron is used as the optical information, and the electron charge of the same number of the signal charge to be introduced moves between the electrode 19 and the earth. Here the proper resistance 22 is provided between the electrode 19 and the earth. And the voltage produced across the resistance 22 is amplified 23, and this output of amplification is applied to the electrode 19. Thus the voltage corresponding to the current flowing between the electrode 19 and the earth potential is applied to the electrode 19. As a result, the light intensity can be controlled automatically for the photoconductor 18 regardless of the variation of intensity of the incident light, thus always keeping the output signal voltage at a constant level.
