Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a decorative molded article short of the occurrence of positional difference and creases in a film plate by a method wherein a decorative film plate held between a set of sandwich molds on the side of a cavity is cut in a desired dimension when the molds are closed and at the same time molten resin is injected on the side of a core. CONSTITUTION:After a decorative film plate (f) has been held in a sandwich mold 3 connected with a cavity 1 a core 4 is interlocked with a cavity 1 and when the male fitting part 4a is inserted into the sandwich mold 3 the film plate (f) is cut by the edge 4b at the dimension of the fitting part 4a and it is pushed into the cavity 1. Then, immediately, molten resin is injected and filled in the cavity 1 from the sprue 4c of the core 4, said cut film plate f is stretched, deformed plastically, attached tightly to the surface of an uneven part mold 2 and at the same time attached to the injected and filled resin to form a decorative molded article 6.
