Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the space for the attachment of the captioned window regulator for a vehicle and to lessen the sliding resistance thereof, by arranging a guide gear to a curved part of the wire of the window regulator, wherein the guide gear being rotatable and having guide teeth on the outer circumference thereof.
CONSTITUTION: When a regulator handle 12 is rotated, a pinion 13 and a coil 25 are rotated to move the flexible wire 14. Due to the movement of the wire 14, the guide gear 24 whose outer circumferential teeth 26 are meshed with the coil 25 is rotated. In a case where the window glass is lowered, a spring 27 attached to the guide gear 24 is wound and stores energy therein by which the window glass will be elevated. Accordingly the operation to move up or down the window glass 23 can be facilitated. Thus by decreasing the curvature radius of the curved part of the wire, the space for the regulator can be reduced and the sliding resistance thereof can also be reduced.
