Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a steering wheel lighter and reduce vibration upon high-speed running by a method wherein a resin is utilized as a core material of a grip and spokes for the steering wheel.
CONSTITUTION: Core members 2a, 3a for a grip 2 and spokes 3 are formed integrally by utilizing a resin having a coefficient of bending elasticity of 30,000kg/cm2 or more and respective covering members 2b, 3b are made of a soft resin such as polypropylene or the like. The resin is utilized as the core members, therefore, a weight of a steering wheel is decreased and accordingly vibrations upon a high-speed running may be reduced.
