Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide agricultural and horticultural granules such as agricultural and horticultural insecticide, having improved swelling, disintegrating and dispersing tendency in water, and facilitating the dissolution of the effective component in water, by the use of diluent containing an alkali metal salt of boric acid and/or sodium phosphate.
CONSTITUTION: Granular agent for agricultural and horticultural use, e.g. agricultural and horticultural insecticide, fungicide, plant growth regulator, etc., is obtained by using a diluent composed mainly of inorganic silicate and containing 0.5W5wt%, pref. 0.5W3wt%, based on the whole diluent, of an alkali metal salt of boric acid (especially borax and sodium metaborate) and/or a sodium phosphate (secondary or tertiary sodium phosphate, sodium tripolyphosphate). When the granule is applied to a paddy rice field, it is rapidly swollen and disintegrated in water, and the effective component is dissolved or dispersed in water easily to demonstrate the rapid and certain effect of the component.
