Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a detection of leak for the flange joint at the area where the access of a man is impossible, by providing the leak detecting tube and the moisture detector the resistance value of which varies according to the moisture at the outer circumference of the flange joint.
CONSTITUTION: The tubes 2 and 3 having the flanges 4 and 5 are tightened with the bolt nut 6 to form a flange joint. The leak detecting tube 8 is attached watertight at the outer circumference of the flanges 4 and 5 each. The drain hole 13 is drilled at the lower part of the tube 8, and then the moisture detector 15 is provided via the drain pipe 14. Then the resistor 17 the resistance value of which varies according to the moisture is provided into the detector 15. thus the leak of moisture is detected to actuate the alarm 27 and the pilot lamp 28 respectively.
