Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester useful as a film having inert deposit particles with uniform diameters, having improved slipperiness, by applying pressure one time to a system containing an alkaline (earth) metal and a phosphorus compound in the polycondensation of terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, etc.
CONSTITUTION: In the polycondensation of A) terephthalic acid (lower alkyl ester), etc. with B) ethylene glycol, etc. in the presence of C) an alkaline (earth) metal and D) a phosphorus compound [preferably trimethyl phosphate (phosphite), etc.], before the begining of the polycondensation, a pressure of not higher than 2kg/cm2 is applied to the system preferably for 5W50min. Preferably a blending ratio of the ingredient C to A is 0.05W1mol% and the ingredient D to C is 1≥1.
