Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a novel reagent kit for the determination of antiesterase antibody with a small amount of specimen in a short time, composed of an esterase produced from the cultured product of pathogenic streptococci, a capturing agent such as the cell wall of bacteria, and a reagent for determination, such as acetone.
CONSTITUTION: A kit composed of three reagents: Reagent 1; an esterase derived from pathogenic streptococci and obtained by culturing the streptococci by conventional cultivation process: Reagent 2; protein bonded with an insoluble carrier and capable of bonding with an antibody of the esterase derived from pathogenic streptococci, e.g. cell wall of bacteria, a bonded product of protein A and sephadex A, etc.: and Reagent 3; acetone, buffuring agent, etc. for the determination of esterase. The specimen is added with the esterase of the Reagent 1 to obtain an antigen-antibody complex. The complex is precipitated by reacting with the Reagent 2. The activity of the esterase in the precipitate is determined by the Reagent 3.
