Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit the symptom of the dental caries to be readily and reliably diagnosed simply by collecting and inspecting the rhyparia of a patient by employing a specific aqueous solution containing a coloring agent.
CONSTITUTION: Used as a dental caries activity diagnosing composite is an aqueous solution of more than pH 7 containing a coloring agent which changes its color into a different color between pH 7.2W5.87 such as bromthymol blue, methyl red, alizarin blue or China blue. For example, the rhyparia of the patient is cast in an aqueous solution of pH approximately 7.2 containing approximately 0.005wt% bromthymol blue, and from the coloration of the aqueous solution more than 10min after that, the symptom of the dental caries is judged as shown in the figure.
